About us
From course planning to instructional coaching, the TLC partners with faculty to support student success. Our team offers expertise in pedagogy, course design, and learning technology. Our work is grounded in research and shaped by the needs of SOLS faculty.
Our Story
Since 2013, the Teaching and Learning Center has been a cornerstone of teaching excellence in the School of Life Sciences. We partner with educators to create meaningful, effective, and equitable learning experiences that reflect ASU’s Charter commitment to serving all learners. Through collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement, we help faculty and teaching teams transform education to support student success.
Who We Are
The TLC is a dedicated team of education professionals with expertise in instructional design, teaching development, and learning innovation. Embedded in SOLS, we collaborate with faculty, teaching assistants, and academic leadership to strengthen teaching practices and enhance student learning. We support a culture of reflection, experimentation, and continuous improvement to help every learner succeed.
